Topic: The Sure Protection

Text: Psalms 121: 5 – 8

 Prayer points:

  1. Bless the name of the Lord; appreciate Him for the month of September.
  2. My father, arise, deliver me from the hands of the wicked, preserve me from evil in this ember months, in the name of Jesus.
  3. My father, my father, by your power, consume all those whom are planning to exterminate me, my children and the members of my family in the name of Jesus.
  4. Father, let your hand of protection be upon me wherever I go in the land of the living in the name of Jesus.

Introduction:

The world today is in a state of fear and tumor; people are running helter-skelter due to insecurity, physical attacks, spiritual attacks and emotional attacks. Of recent times, Nigeria has been described as the most terrorized country in Africa because of criminal activities, etc. The sure protection is in the Lord Jesus Christ; His protection shall be sure as you turn to Him.

 

Different levels people turn to for protection are:

 

  1. People turn to receive protection from man; some surround themselves with people and armed men, feeling they are adequately secured. 2nd Chronicles 32: 21.

Protection from man is protection from the arm of flesh.

2nd Chronicles 32: 8.

Protection from man can fail, disappoint and is not reliable.

Psalms 60: 11.

Protection from man is not a sure protection.

 

  1. People turn to the devil for protection, thereby relying on the power of charms, enchantment and incantations. This kind of protection is not a sure protection.

Exodus 7: 11 -12, the power of charms can fail; note that, there is an antidote to every charm. It’s only the power of God that can’t fail.

Exodus 8: 18

 

  1. People turn to animals for protection, e.g trained dogs in the form of security. The powers of these animals can fail you by turning to attack the owners, the animals can be killed or die naturally.

 

The sure protection is from the Lord Jesus, the Almighty God will protect you when you run to Him.

Psalms 61: 3, Proverbs 20: 1, Psalms 61:3, Proverbs 20: 1.

The Almighty God can preserve you from evil, Psalms 121: 7.

 

God can protect you by:

  • Calling His name; Proverbs 18: 12
  • The word; Exodus 10: 12 -14
  • By fire; Zechariah 2:5

 

The sure protection is the Lord Jesus Christ, accept Him and He will protect you in this ember months and you will enter the New Year with joy.

Topic: Victory Over Lockdown; Ebenezer
Text: 1 Samuel 7:7-13

When a child is grateful, he will receive more.
Thus far, God has helped us, if we show Him our gratitude, you can be sure He will see us through till the end.
Luke 17:12-16, 17-19. One of the lepers who Jesus healed, came back to say thank you. For this, Jesus moved him from healed to wholeness. This meant that the body parts that had been affected by leprosy would be restored to wholeness.
Mark 5:2-18. The mad man of Gadara after deliverance came back to say thank you. Jesus then promoted him.
Luke 5:1-9. God gave a breakthrough to Peter. He fell at the feet of Jesus to show his gratitude. Luke 5:10-11. As a result, Jesus upgraded him to fulfill his destiny.
1 Samuel 2:1-10, 22-21. Hannah showed her gratitude for Samuel and God blessed her with 5 more children.
2 Samuel 6:14-22. David danced before God for promoting him from shepherd to king. 2 Samuel 7:8-16. As a result of his gratitude, God promised to establish his kingdom forever.
Solomon showed his gratitude to God for lifting him even though his parents were adulterers, with 1000 offerings. As a result, God assured him of His blessing.
God told me there are 3 ways of doing things:
1. The right way
2. The wrong way
3. God’s way: God does as He pleases.
If you think you have no reason to thank God; The Almighty God in His own miraculous way has brought you thus far and saved your soul. Psalm 107:1-2, Hebrews 13:5-6.
He said He will never leave you nor forsake you so you can say the Lord is your helper. If you have God as your Helper, that’s enough reason to dance and praise Him. Psalm 34:8

Give your life to God and you’ll see the great benefit of becoming His. Ask Him to have mercy on you, to save your soul and wash you clean. Ask Him to write your name in the book of life.

Prayer:
Father, I’m raising my Ebenezer to You today. Thank You for saving my soul and for every blessing You’ve given me.

Good morning Church. It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to another wonderful service today. This is the redeemed Christian of God, Trinity Sanctuary Parish, the region 13 HQ.
Special greetings from our daddy, the general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pst E A Adeboye and his lovely wife Pst. Mrs. Folu Adeboye., and also from our Regional Daddy, Pastor Dele Balogun and from his wife Pst. Mrs Temitope Balogun.

Still on the compliance with the state government on religious gathering, all midweek services which have hitherto been suspended have now commenced. We hereby meet here on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5pm to 6:30 pm for our digging deep and faith clinic services respectively.

On Sundays, the church holds two services, the first service starts by 7:45 am and ends at 9:15am while the second service runs from 10:15am to 12 noon. In between the end of the first service and the start of the second service is a one hour break which allows for a smooth and calm transition of services as stipulated by the state government.
Our various House fellowship centers run concurrently with our services. Do well to locate any house fellowship Center nearest to you if you can’t make it to church.

If you are in need of immediate medical attention, pls meet our medical team stationed at the children’s church.

Please ensure that you maintain social distancing, make proper use of your face masks, wash your hands regularly and sanitize your hands properly.

The children’s church is suspended for the time being, therefore all parents who come to church with their children should ensure that they keep their children close to them and maintain orderliness during the course of the service.

Our Regional youth and young Adult convention comes up today 30th of August 2020 by 4pm with the theme *THE QUEST*

When God helps a man, can be understood to be:
• God stepping into ones situation.
• Ones sorrow being turned to Joy.
• People will begin to appreciate a man in a place of his neglect or scornfulness.
• Those joining others to make mockery of you will sing your praises.
• Those who despises you will now run errands for you

For God to help you, you must play your role by making your faith active.

LET’S PRAY
1. Father, retrace my heart, cleanse me tonight, let your blood speak expressly into my heart. Let your blood purify my life of every sin, in the name of Jesus.
2. Father, I need your help in every embarrassing situation of my life and that of my life in the name of Jesus.
3. Father, turn every tears of sorrow to tears of joy in the name of Jesus.
4. Father, elevate me in this season and place me among the nobles in the land in the name of Jesus.
5. Father, the kind of elevation that will make man to puzzle, let such lifting locate me in this season, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, let your help in my life be active in my life; that no force will be able to make me irrelevant or break ne down in the name of Jesus.
7. Father, in this aspect of my life (mention it) am tired of complains, help me to enable me help others in the name of Jesus.
8. Father, in any circumstances or place I find myself, may I not abuse your help upon my life.
9. Father, the kind of help every member of my family needs, locate them to receive such help in the name of Jesus.
10. We pray for peace to radiate and reign in Edo state and Nigeria, we shall not lose any member of our family in this election in the name of Jesus.
11. We put a stop to every evil being cooked by the devil and his cohorts in this gubernatorial election in the name of Jesus.
12. Father, give our leaders a revelation of the way forward in this country in the name of Jesus.
13. You said ‘upon this rock you will build your church’; let’s pray that the gate of hell will not prevail over your church in the name of Jesus.

We thank you for your wonders; let your manifestation of this meeting show forth in our lives in the name of Jesus.

THEME: Miracles of Vengeance (Part 2)

TEXT: Hebrews 10: 30

 

INTRODUCTION

Our Almighty God is a defender and also a God of Vengeance by executing vengeance on the enemies of His children.

 

WHOM WILL GOD EXECUTE VENGEANCE UPON?

  1. Micah 5: 15.God will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen. The heathen refers to those who do not know God, always walking against God, blaspheme and criticize God and subject Gods things to ridicule analysis. 2nd Thessalonians 1: 8

 

  1. God will execute vengeance upon the adversaries of His children. Nahum 1: 2. The adversaries of God’s children are His enemies. All those who are afflicting you, oppressing you and tarnishing your image, launching attack against you have made themselves His enemy. 1st Samuel 15.

 

  1. Exodus 22: 22 – 24. God will execute vengeance on those who afflicts the widow and fatherless.

 

  1. God will also execute vengeance on those who mock and ridicule His children. Judges 16: 25

 

  1. Judges 16: 28. God will execute vengeance on those blocking your vision or fighting you with spiritual blindness.

 

  1. God will execute vengeance on those who give themselves to sexual immorality. Hebrews 13: 4

 

  1. Exodus 14: 5. God will execute vengeance upon stubborn or die hard pursuers.

 

GOOD NEWS

  • God will execute vengeance on anyone that says you shall not end this year well.
  • The widows and the fatherless should not lose hope because God will fight for them.
  • Assist the widows and fatherless to enable you be a partaker of His mercies.
  • Anyone ridiculing you or mocking you shall be executed or silenced by God.
  • The God of vengeance will restore your lost vision.

 

PRAYER POINTS

  • Worship and adore Him for His Lordship and Kingship.
  • My father, arise and defend me, execute vengeance upon my enemies. Arise in your glory and power to execute vengeance.
  • My father, my father, execute vengeance on all those who wants to truncate my destiny and put them to shame.
  • My father, arise and execute vengeance upon all those who have turned me into object of ridicule.
  • My father, arise and execute vengeance upon my stubborn pursuers.

 

 

The wonders of His Creation

TOPIC: The wonders of creation
TEXT: Psalm 139:14

The Wonders of God’s Creation is that they are for His Pleasure.
Everything created by God is good.
Genesis 1:4,10,12,18,21,25.

Whenever God finishes creating something, He will look at it and say this is good. When it came to the creation of man, He looked at His last creation. He said this is very good. In the opinion of God, you are wonderful.
Genesis 1:26-31

How does every part of your body give pleasure to God?

1) God made your hands to clap.
By clapping your hands, you make Music for Him. Psalm 47:1 . This means, if your hands are withered, God will heal you.

2) God made your legs to dance. He expects you to praise Him with your dancing. Psalm 150:4.
If God sees that your legs are crippled, He will heal you.

3) God made you to increase, multiply and to reproduce your own kind. Genesis 1:28. When He sees your womb dying without fulfilling the purpose He ordained, he will correct the situation.

4) God made your mouth to sing. You were created to sing the praises of God.
Psalm 34:1.
When God sees that you are dumb, He will open your mouth so you can sing His praises

5) God made your ears to hear. Faith comes by hearing and without faith, you cannot please God. Hebrews 11:6.
So if you are deaf, God will open up your ears.

6) God made your eyes to see. He wants you to see His Wonders Psalm 94:9.
If God sees that you are blind, He will open your eyes.

Isaiah 59:1-2
There can be only one problem.
If you know you are doing things contrary to God’s will, why don’t you stop it.

God created you for His pleasure. That is the greatest wonder of creation. If there is any part of your body that is not pleasing to Him, He will make it right.

PRAISE BY BARTER

TEXT: Psalm 147:1

WHEN WE PRAISE GOD HE GIVES BEAUTY FOR ASHES

The word Comely means beautiful. 

There are three major things said about praise 

  1. Praise is good. 
  2. Praise is pleasant, pleasant is a relative of the word pleasure
  3. Praise is beautiful

In one of the sermons  From lockdown to Leaping up, we spoke about trade by barter. Praising God is a form of trade by barter so that you will know when you are praising God, you are actually trading with God.

– God made all things for His pleasure, Revelation 4:9-11. 

– He made birds to sing, Solomons 2:12. – He made mountains and hills also to sing, Isaiah 55:12. 

– He made trees to clap, Isaiah 55:12.    – The waves to clap their hands, psalm 98:8, psalm 47:1. He made all things for His pleasure.

Where do we find this trade by barter business in praising God? 

James 4:8, John 4:23-24 (God is seeking for those who will worship Him in truth and spirit)

If you give God praise like in psalm 34:1, God will make sure that goodness and mercy shall follow you all the days of your life, psalm 23:6. When you are grumbling or complaining or querying God, you are robbing yourself. 

Praise is pleasant, psalm 135:3, Psalm 36:7-9. You will drink from the river of the pleasure of God when you praise Him. You will drink from the fountain of life when you praise Him.

Praise is beautiful, When you praise Him and give Him something beautiful, Isaiah 61:3, He will give you beauty for ashes. Science has not discovered any measure of changing ashes to wood that is consumed by fire. God said praise me, and I will reverse the reversible. He said I will give you beautify for ashes. If you really know how to praise Him, He can make sure that you never have sorrow. Psalm 90:17, If you praise Him, He will establish the works of your hands. To establish means He will make sure that your work or project will never fail.

 

In Conclusion

Praise is beautiful, psalm 149:4, praise Him ans and in return, He will beautify you with Salvation. Salvation is beautiful. He beautifies the meek with Salvation. 

If you want a garment of praise and you want Him to beautify you with Salvation, why not do so now? Surrender your life to Him so that everything that is ugly in your life will automatically become beautiful. Why not surrender your life to Him today. God bless you.
