The period of adversities are periods of life examination

The period of adversities are periods of life examination whereby one’s faith is tested, trusted and confirmed absolute by God if the one going through it hold unto God till the end. “Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing” (James 1:3-4) It is a period of trials but limited to a short period of time. In Proverb 24:10, it is written “if you faint in the day of adversities your strength is small”.
